In addition to the skiing in Tignes itself (93 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Espace Killy ski resort of Val d'Isère. Tignes is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Val d'Isère.

Skiing
The ski area of Tignes features the Grande Motte glacier, reaching an elevation of 3,456 meters. Notable pistes include the red run 'La Face' and the black run 'Col de la Leisse', with efficient lifts like the Tichot and Palafour serving skiers and snowboarders alike.
There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Tignes is Chambery, 100 minutes drive away.
Annecy, Geneva, Turin Caselle, Lyon St-Exupéry and Lyon Bron airports are all within three hours drive.
To reach Tignes, the nearest major airports are Geneva and Chambery, with shuttle services and private transfers available. The resort is also accessible by train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, followed by a short bus ride.

When is Tignes open?
We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.
Usual opening is early October (Re-opens for summer skiing from late June to August), and usual closing is Early May.
