Hintertux

Hintertux is Austria's premier glacier ski resort, offering skiing all year round. With stunning views and diverse pistes, it's a favorite for skiers and snowboarders alike.

Hintertux boasts a vast ski area with over 60 kilometers of slopes, making it suitable for all skill levels. The resort is known for its reliable snow conditions and breathtaking mountain scenery.

The ski area of Hintertux is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 4,921ft, with 147 miles of marked runs.

Hintertux is part of the Tux - Finkenberg ski area with access to 141 miles of downhill skiing, with 24 marked pistes, served by a total of 59 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Hintertux itself (147 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Tux - Finkenberg ski resort of Finkenberg.

With ski lifts as high as 10,663ft, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Hintertux is Innsbruck Airport, 80 minutes drive away.

Munich, Salzburg and Bolzano airports are all within three hours drive.

To reach Hintertux, fly into Innsbruck Airport, approximately 85 kilometers away. From there, you can drive or take a train to the resort, enjoying scenic views along the way.
