Alpbach is part of the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau area with access to 71 miles of downhill skiing, with 83 marked pistes, served by a total of 45 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Alpbach itself (28 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski resorts of Auffach, Kramsach, Niederau, Oberau, Reith im Alpbachtal and Thierbach.

With ski lifts as high as 6,660ft, snow cover is generally reliable.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Alpbach is Innsbruck Airport, 45 minutes drive away.

Munich, Salzburg, Bolzano, St. Gallen-Altenrhein, Memmingen, Linz and Friedrichshafen airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

Alpbach is easily accessible via major airports like Innsbruck and Salzburg. From there, visitors can take a train or shuttle bus to reach the resort quickly.

The 14 ski lifts are able to uplift 19,000 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 23 miles of ski runs, with 67 snow cannons.

When is Alpbach open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Early April.
