French tour operator Travelski have announced that they will be running a new overnight train service between Paris and Bourg St Maurice next winter.
The 'Travelski Night Express' will travel from Paris on Friday evenings, arriving into the Tarentaise valley in the French Alps on Saturday mornings. The return leg will come back on Saturday evening, arriving in Paris on Sunday morning. The timings mean that up to 8 days of skiing are possible.
The first departure will be on Friday 19 December 2025 and the last departure on Friday 20 March 2026, meaning 14 different departure dates in total across the season.
British skiers will be able to connect to the service by taking a Eurostar to Paris.
The train will have a bar and restaurant car, as well as provision for women traveling alone and private cabins for greater privacy and comfort.
Packages from Travelski will include train travel, local transfers, accommodation, ski pass and ski hire from approximately €800 per person and will be available for Méribel, Val d'Isère, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Tignes, Les Ménuires, Courchevel and Val Thorens.
Seats will go on sale in May 2025. Please note that 'train only' tickets will not be available.
"The launch of the Travelski Night Express offers an alternative to a public increasingly concerned about its carbon footprint, for which we have seen a growing appetite"
Nicolas Delord, Travelfactory
