The ski area of Formigal is in the Spanish Pyrenees at an altitude of 4,954ft, with 85 miles of marked runs.


Formigal is part of the Aramon ski area with access to 161 miles of downhill skiing, with 202 marked pistes, served by a total of 72 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Formigal itself (85 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Aramon ski resorts of Cerler, Javalambre, Panticosa and Valdelinares.

The ski resort itself is at 4,954ft, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With ski lifts as high as 7,218ft, snow cover is generally reliable.


There are a variety of pistes to suit all levels of skier ability, from Beginner to Expert.


Formigal offers some good boarding and there are a variety of Snow and Terrain Parks in Formigal.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Formigal is Huesca, 96 minutes drive away.

Lourdes, Pau, Pamplona, Zaragoza, Biarritz and Lleida-Alguaire airports are all within three hours drive.
