The Italian ski resort of Cavalese is in the Italian Dolomites at an altitude of 3,281ft, with 43 miles of marked runs.

Summary

Cavalese is part of the Val di Fiemme ski area with access to 87 miles of downhill skiing, with 123 marked pistes, served by a total of 60 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Cavalese itself (43 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Val di Fiemme ski resorts of Alpe Cermis, Alpe di Pampeago, Bellamonte - Alpe Lusia, Latemar, Passo Lavazè - Oclini and Passo Rolle.

With ski lifts as high as 8,530ft, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Cavalese is Bolzano, 90 minutes drive away.

Verona, Innsbruck Airport, Brescia, Treviso, Venice, Bergamo, Bologna and Parma airports are all within three hours drive.

The 10 ski lifts are able to uplift 12,470 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow Making

Snow-making is available, on 15 miles of ski runs, with 40 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Cavalese open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is late November, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

We don't yet have specific details of the COVID-19 precautions being taken in Cavalese, but they are likely to include most of the following :-
