Skiing
The Abetone ski area sits at an elevation of 1,400 meters, with runs extending up to 2,000 meters. Notable pistes include the easy 'Pista dell'Abetone' and the challenging 'Pista Delle Capanne,' serviced by lifts such as the 'Seggiovia Le Regine' and 'Funivia Abetone.'
Abetone offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.

How to get there
By Air
The nearest airport to Abetone is Firenze, 76 minutes drive away.
Pisa, Bologna, Parma, Genoa, Forlì and Verona airports are all within three hours drive.
Abetone is accessible via the A11 motorway, with the nearest major city being Florence, approximately 80 kilometers away. Public transport options include trains to Pistoia, followed by a bus transfer to the resort.

Snow-making is available, on 15 miles of ski runs, with 110 snow cannons.

When is Abetone open?

Usual opening is mid December, and usual closing is Mid April.

Aprés Ski
After a day on the slopes, visitors can unwind at local bars like 'Bar Ristorante La Buca' and 'Pizzeria Da Pino.' For a lively atmosphere, check out 'Cafè Montalbano' which often hosts events and music.
