Skiing
Canillo gives direct lift access into the Grandvalira ski area, one of the largest ski domains in the Pyrenees. Grandvalira spans more than 200 km of marked pistes with upper elevations approaching the mid-2,600 metres range; Canillo connects you into that network rather than being a standalone, high-altitude massif. From the village you can link across to neighbouring sectors such as El Tarter and Soldeu to reach long cruisers and varied reds and blues. The sector-to-sector lift system includes the main access gondolas and intersector lifts that knit the domain together; notable infrastructure such as the Funicamp cable connection and the El Tarter sector are focal points for routes and access.
Canillo offers good sking, particularly, for Intermediate and Beginner skiers.
Snowboarding
Snowboarders will find access to Grandvalira’s varied terrain from Canillo, including freeride lines in higher sectors and dedicated freestyle zones. The El Tarter snowpark is the most established freestyle area in the domain.
