The Austrian ski resort of Schladming is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 2,461ft, with 106 miles of marked runs.


Schladming is part of the Dachstein-Tauern ski area with access to 122 miles of downhill skiing, with 41 marked pistes, served by a total of 45 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Schladming itself (106 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Dachstein-Tauern ski resort of Ramsau am Dachstein. Schladming is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Ramsau am Dachstein.


Schladming offers good sking, particularly, for Expert and Intermediate skiers.


Schladming offers some good boarding and there are a variety of Snow and Terrain Parks in Schladming.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Schladming is Salzburg, 70 minutes drive away.

Linz, Graz, Klagenfurt, Ljubljana, Munich, Innsbruck Airport and Trieste airports are all within three hours drive.


Ski Lift Capacity

The 25 ski lifts are able to uplift 63,900 skiers and snowboarders every hour.

Snow-making is available, on 109 miles of ski runs, with 120 snow cannons.

Season Dates

When is Schladming open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Mid April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

We don't yet have specific details of the COVID-19 precautions being taken in Schladming, but they are likely to include most of the following :-
