Serre Chevalier Announces Pre-Opening This Weekend
Serre Chevalier Announces Pre-Opening This Weekend
Published : 27-Nov-2018 05:29
After Val Thorens and Crans Montana were both forced to cancel their planned 'pre-opening' weekends over the past two weekends (they both have, or will, open for the main season on schedule), Serre Chevalier is the latest to announced they're opening for a 'Pre-Opening' this weekend, and they seem more optimistic.
"It really was "White Friday" in Serre Chevalier, and it kept snowing all weekend!" said the village's Lisa Gibello, who added, "With these amazing snow conditions, Serre Chevalier will be open on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December!"
Currently the resort, the largest in the southern Alps, has 80cm of snow at the top, 60cm at 2000m and 30cm down in the Valley!
Villeneuve and Chantemerle will be open with departures from Ratier and Aravet gondolas.
Lift passes will be reduced to 25€/day adults and 20€/day for children (6-11).
The ski area will be open again from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 December, then non-stop from 15 December. A number of special offers on lift passes and accommodation are available for that main opening weekend (14-16 December) when there will also be a concert and DJ in Chantemerle.
