Las Leñas Overview
With mountain peaks to rival the best of the European Alps and a long winter season, the Andes offer some fabulous skiing - and Las Lenas is arguably the jewel in the crown of Andean ski resorts.
Notable Ski Runs
The longest possible descent in Las Leñas is 4 miles long.
Skiing
The valley of las Leñas is famous for the deep powder snow that can accumulate in the right conditions, making it something of an expert skier's paradise. Marte is the freeriders preferred destination, with steep couloirs and long chutes which offer up exhilarating powder runs.
There is extensive Off-piste skiing for the expert, but also plenty of easier terrain for intermediates and beginners. There is also Heli-skiing available if the lift-served off-piste isn't enough!
Las Leñas offers good sking, particularly, for Expert and Intermediate skiers.
Snowboarding
With excellent freeride terrain, Las Lenas is popular with Snowboarders. The Marte sector has some steep chutes and there is extensive powder skiing when conditions are right. There is a snow park and half-pipe.

Usual opening is Mid June, and usual closing is Late Sept.

Aprés Ski
Apres-ski is relatively mild and revolves around various bars and restaurants, with at least one night club for dancing until late.
